    On the 26th, the Supreme Court’s 1st division dismissed the final appeal submitted by Moon Tae

  • il and two accomplices. This ruling upholds the lower court's decision, meaning the defendant will serve a prison sentence of three years and six months for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crime (special quasi-rape).

    The incident occurred in June of last year at a club in Itaewon. Moon Tae

  • il, along with acquaintances identified as Lee and Hong, met a foreign national, referred to as Victim A. The court found that the three men exploited the victim's intoxicated state and took turns sexually assaulting her while she was incapable of resistance. Key evidence included the detection of the defendants' DNA on the victim.
