  • Addressing One of the World's Largest Displacement Crises

The fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, which began in 2023, has triggered a devastating humanitarian crisis. Nearly 12 million people have been forced to flee their homes, creating one of the largest displacement emergencies globally.

    How the Photography Fundraiser Works

The fundraiser brings together a prestigious roster of image

  • makers, including Jack Davison, Nadav Kander, Ala Kheir, and Rinko Kawauchi. These artists have donated prints for public sale, with all proceeds directed to UNHCR support programs in Sudan.

    • The sale runs until December 23.

    • Prints can be purchased online through the Pictures for Purpose website.

Direct Impact on the Ground in Sudan

Funds raised will directly contribute to essential services for displaced families. The UN Refugee Agency will use the donations to provide critical aid, including:

    • Emergency shelter and safe accommodation.

    • Access to clean water and sanitation facilities.

    • Vital medical care and mental health support, with a focus on women and children.

This collaborative effort demonstrates the power of art to drive meaningful change for those affected by the severe humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
